So lately I've seen two things:
1. A rise in the number of style websites out there.
2. A rise in unoriginal style site names.
I don't mind the first; if it's what you love then by all means go for it. My problem is that all these sites have unoriginal names. All style site's names fit into one of the following:
1. [insert celebrity's name] Fashion
2. [insert celebrity's name] Style
3. Dress Like [insert celebrity's name]
4. [insert celebrity's name] Couture
The reason why Selena Style works so well is because they both start with an S.
The reason Chelsea Couture works so well is, again because they both start with a C.
And now you're saying 'but Meg you copied Miley Fashion/Dress Like Miley', yes but I credited them and this was back when no one used "[insert celebrity's name] Fashion". I'm sick of seeing the same site names! Why is no one original anymore? You could be so creative with site names! There's a thing called a thesaurus. Use it! There are so many possibilities! Why not use those possibilities!
Think about the style sites you visit (or even the style sites you own) how many of them fall into one of the 4 site titles above? See? Probably a lot.
Why can't anyone be original with their site name's anymore?
Now whenever I see a new style site that falls into one of these site name catagories it's going to bug me.. Bet it's going to bug you too.
